Math 260 - Linear Algebra I

Course Description: Elementary theory of vector spaces. Topics include linear independence, bases, dimension, linear maps and matrices, determinants, orthogonality, eigenvalues and eigenvectors.

Pre-Requisites: MATH 140.

Frequency: Offered every semester (Fall-Spring-Summer).

Current Textbook: Introduction to Linear Algebra by Geza Schay, published by Jones and Bartlett Publishers, 1997, ISBN: 0-86720-498-2.
