Treasurer: Dominique Geneus

Dominique Geneus, born in Haiti, graduated from Somerville High School in Somerville Massachusetts in 1985.  He attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and received an associate degree in Electronic Technology in 1987.  In the fall of 1987, he entered the school of engineering technology at Northeastern University where he earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology.  Dominique later enrolled in the college of engineering at Boston University and subsequently received his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1993.

In 1993, Dominique worked as a senior electrical engineer for Raytheon Company, performing hardware and firmware design for the Navy, the Airforce and the Army satellite communication programs.  In 2000, as senior technical marketing engineer for Intel Corporation, he traveled extensively providing technical support to Intel customers using the StrongARM microprocessor.  At Lucent Technologies, he worked as a diagnostic engineer designing and

implementing diagnostic software for the Lucent/Springtide ATM Internet service switch.

Dominique is currently working as a computer technology instructor in the Boston Public Schools teaching students computer concepts, Visual Basic, JavaScript and Interactive Media.

Dominique has been a member of the HSS since its inception in 1996 and serves as the Treasurer.

Francois Augustin

Back  in the late 90Õs, Francois got to know Lesly Rene who

then was his high  school teacher. Lesly mentored and

tutored Francois in various subjects  such as C++

programming and The Calculus. LeslyÕs tutoring was part of

the Outreach program of HSS in its effort to establish

a liaison with  Boston public schools students.  Francois

has a strong interest in Mathematics Education as it

relates  to inner city schools and bilingual students.

Francois graduated Cum  Laude from Umass Amherst with a

BS in Mathematical Computing. He also  studied in the U.K.

at the University of Manchester departments of Mathematics

and Computer Sciences. He is now pursuing

his A.L.M in Mathematics for Teaching  at Harvard University

Alfred Gˇrard No‘l

My formal education  terminated in 1997 with a Ph. D. in Pure Mathematics from Northeastern  University in Boston, Massachusetts. Since 1998, I have been on the  Mathematics faculty of  the  University of Massachusetts in Boston. My field of research is  Representation Theory of Lie groups, a fundamental branch of Mathematics  with deep connections to Physics and Number Theory. Before joining  UmassBoston, I taught Mathematics and Computer science for fourteen years at Northeastern University. I also worked for nine years as a software/research engineer in Industry. More information is available at:
