Central Extensions of Preprojective Algebras

Abstract: In this talk, I will define the preprojective algebra of a quiver and discuss its connections with the representations of the quiver. I will explain how the preprojective algebra, while interesting, does not have a property that we would like it to have; however, there is a centrally extended preprojective algebra which does have that property. I will then discuss the connections between the centrally extended preprojective algebra and the representations of the quiver.

The presentations cover a large variety of topics and are intended for a general math audience. The seminar is organized by Prof. Alfred Noël and we usually meet Monday afternoons, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
