TutoringTutoring is available in the Math Resource Center (Campus Center, 1st Floor, Room 1401, next to Advising and in Academic Support). It is free and it is given M/T/W/TH 9:30-12:30 and 1:00-2:30, and on F 9:30-12:30. Not all courses have tutoring at all these times. To get tutoring, a student must be enrolled in the math course in which he or she seeks tutoring and must have a currently valid student ID. We do not help students with generic math tutoring, GED prep and the like. We also do not help students not enrolled here. A student who fits the qualifications mentioned above is allowed to reserve two (2) one-on-one tutoring sessions per week. These are normally arranged by making an appointment at the Math Resource Center Office (CC/1/1401). The first appointment of the semester must be made in person. After that, phone call appointments at 617-287-6486 are also allowed, provided the student checks in at the desk upon his or her arrival. Walk-in tutoring can be had, subject to tutor availability at the time of the visit. Tutors are not allowed to help a student do his or her homework, or to help the student do take home test questions. A tutor's job is to help students understand the material involved so that the students can then do their own homework or take home questions. We offer tutoring in
