Homework assignments must be turned in on the following Thursday at the beginning of the lecture. the homework must be done professionally; e.g. no scratch work, use a ruler or other straight-edge where appropriate.
Exam 1 June 12, 03 (2.1-3.1)
Exam 2 July 2, 03 (3.2-4.2)
Grading:
30% Homework Average
15% for each of the two exams during the term
40% final exam
Your score then equals 0.3 * (homework average) + 0.15 * (Exam1) + 0.15 * (Exam 2) + 0.4 * (Final Exam)
Or, your score equals your final exam score, whichever is larger.
If, for example, you score is between 70 and 72, your grade would be C-; if your score is between 73 and 76, your grade would be C; and if your score is between 77 and 79, your grade would be C+.
Please bring the text to class each day. We will use it during class. You must have a scientific calculator.
