Assignment for week of March 21 - 28

Mid-term Exam is on April 1,  one week from Friday. It will be an In-class hour exam.

Note that the Pass/Fail and Withdrawal deadline is April 7.

1. Finish Reading Chapter 2 (except Section 2.7).

2 Work on Exploration 2.2A and Algebra Aerobics 2.8. There will be a quiz on Friday on this material.

3. Due Monday, March 28: Ch. 2 problems #  50, 52, 62, 64, 82, 88

4. Due Monday, March 28: hardcopy of class data projects. Each person in your group must submit her/his own written summary:

a. hardcopy versions of any graphs used in your class presentation (these can be the same for each of you.)

b. Your individual written version of the arguments that your group presented in making your case. Do not write a description of how you chose the data you used or the graphs you constructed. Instead, state the argument you were assigned to make and refer to the graphs and calculations you made to suppport your argument. Remember that you are an actor playing a role. Write as if you were that person submitting a report  or writing an article in the Mass Media.)
