There will be at least one other office hour during the week. Or, by appointment. 3. Homework requirements: ALL work must be done in blue or black ink. Work in pencil will not be accepted. No late homework will be accepted. Homework (except handout sheets) must be done in a hard-bound composition notebook. I have a supply of these notebooks which I was able to obtain at $1.00 each. They are available from me at cost until they run out. They may also be purchased at the UMass Bookstore. 4. Format for Homework Notebooks: (Use both front and back of the pages) First 4 sides of the composition notebook are used for CONTENTS: Each line of the CONTENTS section has: Left Margin: page numbers in HW notebook First 1/2 inch in main column: HW # Remainder of line: Title of HW; pages and problem numbers Summary of this: [page # in composition book] [HW #] [HW title] [pages & problem numbers] Every page of the HW notebook should be numbered on the top right/left starting with the first side (first page of contents) as p.1 Therefore, the first side used for an assignment will be p.5 Every Homework in the HW book must start on a new page. The first page of an assignment must have, at TOP: Homework #; pages and problems; date due The following pages of an assignment must have, at TOP: Homework # ALL pages (not in your HW notebook) turned in to me must have, at TOP RIGHT: Your name Course/section Homework # pages and problems date 5.
